AP High Court Recruitment 2026
The High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati has released Notification No. 01/2026/Estt., dated 20 March 2026, inviting online applications for multiple direct recruitment posts under the Service Rules of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, 2025. This is one of the major multi post court recruitments in the state because it covers both technical and non technical posts, clerical positions, library related posts, stenography posts, data entry work, and office subordinate vacancies. The online application portal is available on the official website from 30 March 2026 to 19 April 2026, and the last date for submission of online application is 19 April 2026 up to 11:59 PM. Candidates who want a stable court job with Andhra Pradesh High Court should read the post wise eligibility conditions carefully because qualifications differ significantly from post to post.

The total number of vacancies notified is 300. The post wise vacancy distribution is clearly mentioned in the official notification: Section Officer 5, Senior System Officer 1, Computer Operator 31, Assistant Librarian 1, Librarian Grade II 1, U.D. Stenographer 7, Assistant 78, Examiner 27, Typist 44, Copyist 34, Data Entry Operator 50, Stenographer 1, and Office Subordinate 20. This distribution matters because many job portals only highlight Assistant and Data Entry Operator posts, while ignoring the fact that the recruitment is actually a combined notification for thirteen separate cadres. A clean job page should therefore display the post wise breakup prominently in a table so that candidates can immediately understand whether they should apply for a law based post, a typing based post, a library post, a technical system role, or the Office Subordinate cadre.

The age limit in the notification is 18 to 42 years as on 01 January 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available as per rules: 5 years for SC, ST, BC and EWS categories, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities, and relaxation for Ex Servicemen and sports quota candidates as applicable under the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules. Reservation under SC, ST, BC groups, EWS, women, persons with benchmark disabilities and Ex Servicemen is also part of the notification. Applicants claiming reservation should upload the relevant community, non creamy layer, EWS, disability or other required certificates as applicable. Since reservation documents are a frequent reason for provisional rejection, the UI should show these conditions clearly rather than hiding them inside a long paragraph.

The educational qualifications vary widely by post. Section Officer requires a Law Degree and preference is given to candidates with computer skills. Senior System Officer requires B.Tech in CSC, ECE, EEE or IT, or M.Sc. Computer Science, along with certification and five years of work experience in networking and server maintenance or administration. Computer Operator requires a Degree in Computer Science plus English Typewriting Higher Grade. Assistant Librarian requires a Law Degree, B.Li.Sc. and computer skills for library maintenance. Librarian Grade II requires a degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or Law plus B.Li.Sc. U.D. Stenographer requires a degree plus English shorthand at 120 wpm and English typewriting Higher Grade. Assistant requires a general degree. Typist requires a degree plus English Typewriting Higher Grade. Data Entry Operator requires a degree with Computer Science as one of the main subjects plus English Typewriting Higher Grade. Stenographer requires a degree plus English shorthand at 80 wpm and English typewriting Higher Grade. Office Subordinate requires a pass in 7th class or equivalent, and candidates with qualification higher than the allowed level are not eligible. These conditions must be written with clarity because this is the kind of recruitment where one wrong qualification assumption can waste the candidateโ€™s fee.

The selection process is also important and should be presented in a candidate friendly structure. The notification states that the recruitment will involve a computer based examination. For Section Officer, the syllabus includes General Knowledge for 20 marks, Mental Ability for 10 marks, and Civil and Criminal Law for 50 marks. For Senior System Officer, Computer Operator, Assistant Librarian, Librarian Grade II, U.D. Stenographer, Assistant, Examiner, Typist, Copyist, Data Entry Operator and Stenographer, the computer based examination covers General Knowledge for 40 marks and Mental Ability for 40 marks. For Office Subordinate, the paper is at tenth standard level with General Knowledge for 50 marks and Mental Ability for 30 marks. The computer based examination will have 80 questions carrying one mark each, and the duration will be 90 minutes. The question paper will be in English and Telugu for the computer based exam.

The merit method is not the same for all posts, and this is where many poor quality job pages confuse users. For Section Officer, Assistant Librarian, Librarian Grade II, Assistant, Examiner and Office Subordinate, merit will be based on marks obtained in the written examination. However, for Senior System Officer, Computer Operator, U.D. Stenographer, Stenographer, Typist, Copyist and Data Entry Operator, selection will be based on a separate skill test. The computer based examination for these skill based posts is used only for screening and shortlisting, and its marks are not added to the final skill test marks. This distinction is extremely important for candidates preparing for typing or stenography related posts, because they must focus not only on the screening test but also on the later practical skill assessment. The minimum qualifying marks in the computer based exam are 40 percent for Open Competition and EWS, 35 percent for BC, and 30 percent for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

The examination fee is Rs. 800 for Open Competition, EWS and BC categories, and Rs. 400 for SC, ST and PH categories, subject to the conditions stated in the notification. Separate fee must be paid for each post applied. The fee is payable online only and is non refundable. Candidates should therefore apply only for posts for which they fully satisfy the qualification and skill conditions. This point should be stated clearly on the page to reduce user confusion and complaints. Candidates should also note that the detailed examination schedule and skill test details will be uploaded later on the official website of the High Court.

For better content quality and better usability, the page should look like a structured court recruitment guide rather than a thin duplicate article. The ideal layout is: short summary, post wise vacancies, age limit, application fee, educational qualification by post, exam pattern, skill test note, reservation note, how to apply, and important links. This format mirrors what users expect from a strong SarkariResult style page and reduces bounce caused by confusing text blocks. Since this is an official High Court recruitment with multiple cadres, candidates should verify every post code, qualification condition, and skill requirement before paying the fee. They should keep scanned documents ready, fill the application carefully, monitor the official website for exam schedule and skill test updates, and preserve the submitted form and payment receipt. Interested candidates must read the full official notification before applying.
