BPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer Recruitment 2026
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially released the BPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Recruitment 2026 notification vide Advertisement No. 13/2026. A total of 300 vacancies have been announced for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer (Abhiyojan Padadhikari) under the Prosecution Department, Home Department, Government of Bihar. The online application process started on 27 February 2026 and the last date to apply is 20 March 2026.
This is a highly coveted government job opportunity for Law graduates (LLB) who aspire to serve in Bihar's prosecution services. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Law Degree (LLB) from a recognized university and must be eligible for registration as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961. Candidates who have appeared in their final LLB exam and are awaiting results are not eligible.

Selection Process
Selection is done through a three-stage competitive examination:
Preliminary Exam (Objective): Paper-I – General Studies (100 marks, 150 MCQs); Paper-II – Law (150 marks, 150 MCQs). Total: 300 marks. Duration: 2 hours each.
Main Exam (Descriptive): 8 descriptive papers totalling 1000 marks covering Law, GK, Hindi, and related subjects.
Viva-Voce (Interview): 100 marks. Final merit is prepared on the combined marks of Mains + Interview.
