About MSEFC Daman & Diu

The Micro & Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) was established under Section 20 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006. The council serves as a statutory body for resolving disputes relating to delayed payments to micro and small enterprises. It provides a cost-effective and time-bound mechanism for MSMEs to recover their dues without resorting to lengthy court proceedings.

MSEFC Daman & Diu operates under the administrative control of the Directorate of Industries, UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The organization plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship, facilitating credit availability, providing technical support, and ensuring timely resolution of commercial disputes involving MSMEs in the union territory.

Role and Responsibilities

The Legal Consultant will function as the primary legal advisor to the MSEFC and will be responsible for handling all legal matters pertaining to MSME disputes, arbitration proceedings, and mediation processes. Conducting arbitration and mediation proceedings for dispute resolution
Representing the council before various courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies
Preparing case briefs, legal opinions, and research reports
Maintaining records of all legal proceedings and outcomes
Coordinating with MSMEs, government departments, and financial institutions
Ensuring compliance with procedural requirements under MSMED Act and other relevant legislation
