Important Points Regarding Age:

  • Since these positions are specifically for retired defence/CAPF personnel, candidates would naturally be above 35-40 years of age

Physical Fitness Requirements:

For Advisor (Security):

  • Should be in good health and physically fit to perform supervisory and field inspection duties
  • Able to visit various port locations and facilities independently
  • No serious medical conditions that impair mobility or cognitive functions
  • Medical fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner may be required
  • Vision: Should be able to read and write without difficulty (corrective glasses allowed)
  • Should be capable of working in outdoor conditions including port area visits

For Junior Associate (Security):

  • Should be physically fit to perform security duties including patrolling and surveillance
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform walking duties
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions
  • Good eyesight (corrective lenses acceptable)
  • Hearing ability sufficient to detect alarms and communicate effectively
  • No serious medical ailments that prevent active security duty
  • Medical examination will be conducted before final appointment

Retirement Certification:

  • Candidates must be already retired from defence services (not serving personnel)
  • Discharge certificate/Pension Payment Order (PPO) must be submitted as proof
  • Character certificate from last commanding officer required
  • No adverse remarks in service record
  • Should not be involved in any criminal proceedings or disciplinary action
