Application Fee
Application Fee & Payment Mode
To process the offline applications and arrange for audition tests/interviews, a nominal fee is charged by the department.
- General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 354/- (Including GST).
- Payment Mode: The fee must be paid through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of "DDO, Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu" payable at Jammu.
- SC / ST / PwD Candidates: Please refer to the official notification for exact fee exemption details. Ensure you attach a valid category certificate if claiming exemption.
Age Limit
Age Limit Restrictions (As on 01/04/2026)
Prasar Bharati has kept a very broad age bracket to encourage both fresh media graduates and seasoned professionals to apply.
- Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years. (Candidates below 21 years of age are strictly not eligible to apply).
- Maximum Age Limit: 60 Years. (Since this is a casual assignment-based empanelment, highly experienced senior journalists up to 60 years can also offer their services).
- Age Relaxation: Standard age relaxations for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
