Online application registration commenced on 27th January 2026. The last date for submission of online applications is 27th February 2026. The exact closing time (typically 12:00 midnight or 11:59 PM on the last date) will be mentioned on the BPSSC website. Candidates are advised to submit their applications at least 2-3 days before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues or server congestion. After the closing date, BPSSC may announce a correction window allowing candidates to rectify minor errors in their applications. Subsequent important dates such as release of admit card, date of examination, result declaration, PET/PST schedule, and interview dates will be notified separately on the official website.

Application fee varies by category. For General (Unreserved), EBC (Extremely Backward Classes), and BC (Backward Classes) category candidates, the application fee is as prescribed by BPSSC, typically around Rs. 700-800 including examination fee and portal processing charges. For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates, the application fee is reduced and typically around Rs. 100-200. Female candidates of all categories and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) may be entitled to fee concessions or exemptions as per Bihar Government policies. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment must be made online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. Candidates should retain the payment receipt as proof of fee payment.

Age limit varies by category and gender. For General category male candidates, minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 37 years as on the date specified in the notification. For General category female candidates, minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 40 years. For Backward Classes (BC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) candidates (both male and female), minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 40 years. For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates (both male and female), minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 42 years. Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen will be as per Government of India and Bihar Government rules. Age is calculated as on the date specified in the official notification (typically as on 01.08.2026 or the closing date of application). Candidates must possess valid age proof such as Matriculation certificate, Birth certificate issued by competent authority, or Aadhaar card.
