What is Normalization in RSSB Exam?

Since the exam was conducted in multiple shifts on different dates, normalization is applied to ensure fairness:

  • Different shifts may have different difficulty levels
  • Raw scores are converted to normalized scores using a standard formula
  • Normalization ensures all candidates are evaluated on equal footing
  • Your final score (normalized score) is used for merit list preparation
  • Formula considers highest score, lowest score, and average difficulty of each shift

DV Process:

  • Only shortlisted candidates will receive DV call letters via email/SMS
