The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has officially declared the Sub-Inspector (SI) Written Examination Result 2026 on 27 January 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1299 vacancies of Sub-Inspector posts in Taluk Police, Armed Reserve, and Tamil Nadu Special Police across the state. Thousands of candidates who appeared in the written examination can now check their qualifying status and download individual scorecards from the official portal tnusrb.tn.gov.in.

The written examination was a comprehensive test covering various subjects including General Tamil / General English, General Studies, Aptitude & Mental Ability, and Law & Police Administration. The exam tested candidates' knowledge of current affairs, Tamil Nadu history and culture, Indian Constitution, Criminal Law, reasoning ability, and numerical aptitude. The result has been released in the form of individual scorecards accessible through candidate login, as well as a provisional merit list PDF containing enrollment numbers of shortlisted candidates.

Qualified candidates will now proceed to the Certificate Verification (CV) stage followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Endurance Test (ET), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The tentative schedule for these physical tests has been announced from 24 February to 2 March 2026. Candidates must carry their original certificates, medical fitness certificate, and scorecard printout to the verification venue. Final selection will be based on written exam marks, physical tests performance, and viva-voce interview.
